The philosophy behind the success of this French brand is to always be unique and continue setting new trends!
Sentou was founded by Robert Sentou a furniture designer back in 1947. As well as opening his first store ‘Bois du Perigord’ he also modified creations made by some high – end designers. Below we take a look at the legacy of this French design pioneer and some of Sentou’s new products.
The colorful Constellation mirror is a wire frame with acrylic mirrors attached and comes in two sizes, 58cm x 66cm and 98cm x 83 cm.

He opened his first Paris store in 1977 in order to sell and distribute his furniture, which he did successfully. As the business developed he handed over the design control to Jacques Boisson a highly respected designer in 1986 in the hope of further development. Collaborations soon followed with other designers including Roger Fatus a respected interior designer. The business developed into mainly supplying industry professionals by promoting the products as designed by designers.
The Manto coat hooks below come in various colors, in either aluminium and lacquered coatings in two sizes, 10cm and 12cm.

Sentou developed a well cemented branding and achieved a great dent into the art of living. Year after year Sentou welcome new designers to keep the collections fresh and unique helping them to stay at the forefront of home design.
The Lalinde table collection is a group of light small tables in either free form or round, with numerous color options. Inspired from the 1950′s they come in different heights enabling them to overlap.

Contemporary designer Roger Tallon designed this Helicoid staircase, he is renowned for designing the original M400 and TH staircases, as well as a variety of household furniture and industrial products.

The Coogee sofa again is inspired with the 1950′s in mind and is offered in 5 colors. The collection includes an armchair, a 2 seater sofa and a 3 seater sofa.
The Coogie collection offers a quirky hint of nostalgia!
Sentou will be showcasing their latest collections at 100% design in London from the 22nd September – 25th September 2011.
